Endocrinology - 616.391.3933Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is home to the largest diabetes and endocrinology program for children in the state of Michigan. This not only means offering a wide range of services, but also having a wide reach, with clinics in Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon and Traverse City.
We take an aggressive medical and educational approach to helping children manage their diabetes and keeping them out of the hospital. This includes extensive education of children and families by pediatric endocrinologists and certified diabetes educators, including nutrition counseling and training in self-management techniques, as well as the largest insulin pump program in the state. We actively participate in research and clinical trials, making them available to patients when appropriate.
