Hematology/Oncology - 616.267.1925Delivering state-of-the-art, family-centered care with compassion and innovation has been the goal of our pediatric hematology/oncology department since it opened in 1989.
Today, we are one of the largest pediatric cancer programs in the Midwest and have a national reputation for excellence. We are also home to the only blood and bone marrow and stem cell transplant program in West Michigan.
We are a member of the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) and the distinguished Children's Oncology Group (COG), which gives our patients access to promising new therapies and the latest clinical trials.
We are a federally funded comprehensive hemophilia treatment center and participate in national childhood cancer treatment networks.
We offer monthly multidisciplinary clinics for bleeding disorders (second Wednesday of the month and annually in Traverse City), sickle-cell anemia (third Wednesday of the month), brain tumors (fourth Wednesday of the month), and after-care and transition (ACT), which offers follow-up care for cancer survivors (first and fourth Wednesday of the month).
