Visitor Guidelines and Visiting Hours

Visitor Guidelines and Visiting Hours

Visiting hours are designed to provide our patients with the opportunity to visit with friends and loved ones while still getting the appropriate health care they need. Following are a few guidelines to make visits as trouble-free as possible.

All-the-time visitors are welcome to stay with children around the clock. These include:

  • Parents
  • Grandparents
  • Guardians
  • Parent designee (18 years or older)

All other visitors (including children) are welcome from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, unless hours are limited by the family or doctor.

When you visit, there are two things you can do to keep our patients and families safe:

  • Check in at the team station before entering a child's room. This prevents interruptions during doctor visits and while procedures are being performed. It also allows us to honor a family's visitation wishes.
  • Keep children you bring to the visit with you at all times, in all areas, including when they visit the playroom.

Health guidelines for all visitors are in place for the benefit of all. Please do not visit if:

Parents who have a contagious illness should talk with their child's nurse or doctor.

Special-circumstance visits after-hours can be arranged. Access to the hospital between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. is limited to the emergency department entrances for security reasons. During these hours, family members visiting patients will be given an identification label by security staff.
